How to have eternal life

               UNHEEDED WARNINGS             

Tonight, as I type this, there are hundreds of people still on roof
tops in the Gulf Coast area. Some may not get off these roof tops
alive. All of them had been told to leave the city and move to a
safer place, but for one reason or another, they chose not to heed
these warnings. The warning had been given for two or three days
before Katrina. There was no excuse for a lot of people to still be
in the area as there was in some of the past storms where the only
warn was evident as one could see the approaching storm and maybe had
only a couple of hours notice.

There have been many other warnings throughout history that were not
heeded. As great as the flooding is in New Orleans, there once was a
flood that covered every inch of land. There was a warning before
this flood occurred too. This warning went on for 120 years. The
warning was only heeded by eight people.

God used a man named Joseph to warn Egypt of a coming famine, but
which would be preceded by several good years. They heeded that
warning and were used to save Israel.

There have been and are systems in place to warn people from
individuals to nations of danger. Most everyone has smoke detectors
in their homes and many areas demand that apartments have them.
Nations have radar and sound detection systems in place to warn of
dangers from the weather to attacks by foreign nations.

Sometimes these warning also go unheeded such as that fateful Sunday
morning when a newly erected radar unit detected hundreds of
airplanes off the coast of Pearl Harbor in 1941. The price for this
unheeded warning was enormous.

My friend...the warning is out now. The signs of the time are
everywhere. Just as when a storm is approaching, we need to know
the signs that indicate it, we need to be alert as to the signs that
are in the air right now. Jesus said in Matthew 24:37-38 "But as
the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man
be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating
and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe
entered into the ark,"

One has only to look around to see this is happening today. Many
other signs point to our LORD's imminent return.

As much damage as this last storm has caused, you have not seen
anything yet. There is coming a storm that will be more universal
then the flood....and it will strike without warning for those who
are not watching for it.

2 Peter 3:10

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the
which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the
elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works
that are therein shall be burned up.

There is good news! The verse just before this one tells us:

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

I hear the sound of a mighty rushing wind
and it's closer now then it's ever been

I can almost hear the trumpet and Gabriel sound the cord
at the midnight cry, We'll be going home

When JESUS steps out
on a cloud to call HIS children to meet Him in the air
and those that remain will be quickly changed
at the midnight cry when Jesus comes again.

I look around me, I see prophecies full filling
and the signs of the times there're appearing everywhere
I can almost hear the FATHER as He says
"SON go get Your children"
At the midnight cry, the Bride of Christ will rise

Are you ready for this midnight cry my friend? If you are not and
that cry goes out, you will be facing outer darkness for all
eternity.

My friend, this is one warning you can not afford to ignore. Even if
it does not happen in our life time (and I would be very surprised if
it does not) NONE of us are assured tomorrow. We are all one heart
beat away from eternity. If we have not trusted Christ for salvation
before this time, we will be separated from GOD for eternity.
Hebrews 9:27 tells us that it is appointed unto us once to die and
after this we face the judgment. We are also told that HIS Spirit
will not always strife with us, that is God will not always call out
to us. In many of the messages I write, I point out that Jesus is
calling your name and all we need to do is to respond to that
call...to call out to HIM in return. My friend, I believe that if
you are not 100% sure of eternal life and you are reading this
message now, Jesus IS calling YOUR name right now...but this could be
the LAST time HE does. HEED THE WARNING...call out to JESUS today!
